There are times when the users are sure
of the password they had set for a particular account, but is still ends up
showing “Password or user if mismatch”. This is probably an indication that the
account may have been misused or intruded by some unauthorized users. Hence, it
is always recommended that users should periodically upgrade their passwords
for their account to make it safe and secure. Secondly, customers must make sure
that they have updated the recent and active mobile number and alternate email
address as their registered contact points. This is because this is where the
verification or the activation code would be sent, using which users can unlock
their account.
For all password related issues and
concerns, and other log in related problems, customers can get in touch with
the Outlook Helpline number team,
or follow a list of simple and straight forward processes for resetting their
password. The customer first needs to click on the hyper link stating “Reset
Your Password”. On clicking on the hyper link, the customer would be prompted a
series of reasons which led to the change of password. The user is required to
select the appropriate reason and then click on the Next button. Post this
step, the user needs to enter the corresponding email id for which the password
reset is generated. This email id can be the personal email accounts like Yahoo
or Gmail, or any hotmail accounts etc. Now, the contact points entered by the
user for this account would be fetched and a verification code would be sent to
those addresses. The user needs to read the code from that location and then
mention that in the upcoming prompt shown to the user. On entering the code,
the user is allowed to enter his new password and confirm.
There may be chances when an outlook
account can be temporarily blocked. In such a scenario, the user needs to
unlock his or her account by getting in touch with the Outlook Technical Support team. They would conduct certain
authenticity checks by taking reference if the hint questions which users set
while creating the account. The same procedure can be carried out in
consultation to the customer care executive as well. For users, who are not
comfortable using the system, they can contact the customer care executive for
a verification check and then sharing the verification code. The team of
